Appointment Setter Job Description and Interview Questions
An appointment setter job description names the channel, the booking, the confirmation, and the pay. Appointment setter interview questions test that work. How to hire appointment setters, as a full process, is not rewritten here.
The Sales Team OS by Systemized Sales AI installs the application page and the place your team compares people. You still decide. We do not recruit. The full process for a coaching business is on systemizedsales.com, linked once below. After a yes, the end of day tracker is how you see the work.
Appointment setter job description
The appointment setter job description names the channel first: phone, DM, or both only if one person truly does both. The job ends at a qualified booking that can show, not at a close. They confirm, and they rebook a miss the same day. Claimed dials or messages get checked against the CRM.
Write the pay you actually run. Shows, collected cash, or a mix. A setter who heard a vague commission and assumed closer pay will leave. Point the description at the end of day tracker so the form is not a surprise in week one.
We do not publish a setters per closer figure, ours or anyone else's. Headcount follows your own show rate and how many calls a closer can hold, after you have measured show rate. DM bookings are not phone bookings. Do not blend them into one activity number and then open the wrong seat.
Appointment setter interview questions
Ask them to describe a booking they made that showed up, and one that did not. You want to hear confirmation and a rebook, not a speech about grinding. Ask what they say when the lead asks for information instead of a time. The right shape is a short answer and a booked slot, or a clean disqualify. A novel is a miss.
For a phone hire, role play a live dial. You are busy, skeptical, and you ask 'what is this about?' For a DM hire, hand them a thread and a clock. They write the next three messages. You are looking for a question, a time, and no invented discount. Keep the messages. Compare them on the scorecard after, not from memory.
Pay comes up because the description should already have said shows, collected cash, or a mix. Ask them to repeat it back. A setter who heard a vague commission and assumed closer pay will leave. The end of day report is where claimed dials or messages meet the CRM.
- Describe a booking that showed, and what you did the day before.
- Describe a booking that did not show, and what you did the same day.
- The lead says send me information. What do you say next?
- Who is this offer not for?
- Phone: I am busy, what is this about? Book a time or stop.
- DM: write the next three messages that ask for a time.
- What numbers will you submit at the end of the day, and what happens if they do not match the CRM?
- How do you expect to be paid?
Before you open the seat
- You know whether the seat is phone, DM, or one person who truly does both.
- Show rate is measured, so the headcount math has a real denominator.
- The application page is the only front door.
- The role play matches the channel.
- The end of day tracker is ready for their first week.
- You have said, out loud, that you hire them. We do not.

| Line | What to write |
|---|---|

| The record | End of day numbers are checked against the CRM. The form is a claim. |
| Pay | The plan you actually run: shows, collected cash, or a mix. Not closer pay under another name. |
| First weeks | The script, a booking role play, then live leads. Not a closer certification. |
How the Sales Team OS by Systemized Sales AI handles this
The Sales Team OS by Systemized Sales AI is the application page, the place you compare setters, and the end of day tracker they submit into after you hire. Speed to Lead, on GoHighLevel, shows who called. We install those parts and show your team how to use them.
Published proof
Woobie went from $300K to $1.1M a month. The first $1M month came within 8 months. Their old tracker said the show rate was 25%. The system measured 66%.
Budgetdog went from $400 to 500K on a good month to back to back $1M months. No shows fell from 19.1% to 9.6%. Close rate rose from 24.7% to 31.7%.
The Listings Lab ran this system. Close rate moved from 10.7% to 30.8% in 90 days. Tripled close rate, from 6% to 19%. Infinite Heart Health doubled show rate, from 26% to 55%, from July to September 2026.
These are published results from named teams running this system. They are not a promise that your team gets the same result.

Questions buyers ask
What belongs in an appointment setter job description?
Channel, the booking as the end of the job, who the call is not for, confirmation and same day rebooking, pay as you actually run it, and the end of day record checked against the CRM. The template on this page is that description.
What are appointment setter interview questions?
A show and a no show from their past, what they say when someone asks for information, a live booking on the channel you are hiring, and how they expect to be paid. The bank is on this page.
How do you hire appointment setters?
Use the description and the questions here. The steps of the full process for a coaching business are not repeated on this page. They are linked once, on systemizedsales.com. Your team still decides.
Do you find the setters?
No. We install the application page and the place you compare people. We do not recruit. The full process is the one link on this page, not a second version of those steps.
Where do their numbers go after they start?
Into the phone or DM end of day tracker, checked against the CRM. The template is on the setter end of day guide. A form they can type is not the calendar.
Should a setter be on the closer onboarding plan?
The 30 60 90 plan on this site is written for closers: product test, shadowing, role play, live closes. Setters need the same idea with a booking test instead of a close. Do not run them through a closer certification and call it done.
